If you're searching for a herbalist in Finchley or north London, you're in the right place. With a BSc in Herbal Medicine, membership of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (MNIMH), and over twenty years of experience treating patients since 2003, I offer bespoke herbal treatment tailored entirely to you. Why choose herbal medicine?

Gentle, but effective treatment for mild to moderate health problems

Qualified medical herbalists can effectively use herbal medicine to treat both chronic and acute conditions. Herbal medicine can support the body's different systems to help maintain better health and harmony in physical, mental and emotional states. While it is popular for women's health, men can also benefit. Herbal medicine is suitable for people of all ages, from babies and young children to adults and older people. It provides gentle yet effective treatment, mainly avoiding the unwanted side effects of pharmaceutical drugs.

One of the keystones of holistic health treatment is to carefully examine the symptom pattern and causes of illness in each patient. Therefore, there are no 'standard prescriptions' for particular conditions. The herbal medicines I prescribe are often in the form of an alcohol-based liquid called a tincture, or a more potent fluid extract. I also prescribe capsules, tablets, syrups and dried herbs for infusions, and these are suitable for those who cannot have alcohol.

Science has spent a lot of time reducing everything to its parts over the last few centuries. This close-up analysis has done a great deal of good for humanity, but it has neglected the overall picture. The holistic herbalist's approach focuses on assessing the whole herb, and a combination of plant-based medicines tailored to the individual patient.

If you come to consult me as a herbalist in Finchley, you can expect a completely personalised treatment. I consider a range of factors, including your lifestyle and diet, your emotional and mental processes, and your past experiences, to treat you as an individual. It is important to note that a commitment to treatment is essential if it is going to be successful. Unlike conventional medicine, herbal medicine does not promise quick results. Instead, it offers profound and lasting benefits for your overall wellbeing.

What to expect during your consultation

Health Space Clinic, 307 Regents Park Road, N3 1DP

Initial herbal medicine consultations last an hour, during which I take a detailed medical history covering all aspects of your health and wellbeing. I can advise you on your diet and lifestyle, and will make up your herbal prescription based on my observations. This can include herbal fluid extracts, herbal tablets and capsules, teas, and other supplements. Your bespoke prescription is prepared in my pharmacy and posted out to you.

Following this, I offer a free online check-up within two to three weeks, where we can discuss your initial progress and any queries you may have about your bespoke medicine. Subsequent appointments come at monthly intervals, but can become less frequent depending on how you progress.

For chronic and long-standing conditions, please bear in mind that treatment with a herbalist requires a sustained commitment from you if it is going to be successful.

Online video consultations via Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet are available for follow-up appointments if you are unable to attend in person in north London.
