Traditionally, meditators used yoga breathing as the gateway to their meditation. These breathing techniques encouraged the relaxation and focused attention that meditation needs. This application of essential breathing methods has been overlooked in the West and is partly why many people struggle with meditation.
Unlike meditation, which can be frustrating and slow to learn, breath training and yoga breathing are accessible. Breath training is a safe and fast way to relieve stress, boost digestion, balance your energy, and improve sleep, and you'll feel results right from your first session. No experience of any kind is needed. I take a simple, science-based, practical approach for all who try. You don't need to attend yoga or meditation classes to benefit from breath training.
I offer an online four-part breath training workshop over four weeks for stress relief, digestion, energy, and deep sleep.
To help you decide if a breath training course would be helpful for you, I offer a free 20-minute discovery session via video call. We will discuss your health challenges and why you are interested in breath training. We will also discuss your lifestyle habits, including your work and play routines and how you manage your stress. You will have a chance to ask questions. I'll share the basic principle of breath practice with you, and we can do a foundation breath exercise. You can then book the course if you decide to proceed with the workshop.
During the four group sessions, you'll learn how to use different breath techniques depending on the time of day and your circumstances. You will gain insight into your breathing and how to improve it to enhance your sleep and digestion and become more naturally energised.
The cost of the four-part workshop is £150.
Are you interested to learn more? There is no cost or obligation attached to the Discovery Session.
I am a certified breath training and yoga breathing coach with the Yoga Alliance, with science-based training in the physiology of breathing and its effects on the nervous system. Different breathing techniques can help alter the nervous system to improve homeostasis, and awareness of the power of breath is growing.
