Reflexology Treatments

What to Expect

As a Reflexologist, Medical Herbalist and Breath Training Coach, I offer a holistic approach to relaxation and wellbeing. Reflexology is a gentle, non-invasive therapy that many clients find helpful for reducing stress, promoting deep relaxation, and supporting a sense of balance.

My sessions may also include breath training techniques, which can help you feel calm and centred.

Before your first appointment, you’ll be emailed a short health and well-being questionnaire to complete and submit. This helps me understand your background, lifestyle and any areas you’d like to focus on, so that your treatment can be tailored to you.

At your appointment, once you are comfortable on the couch or reclining chair, I will apply pressure to reflex points on your feet in a soothing sequence. During a session, you may feel deeply relaxed, sleepy, or sometimes more energised and talkative — everyone responds differently, and all responses are normal.

After your treatment, you’ll have time to rest quietly and enjoy some water. I usually suggest that clients take it easy afterwards, allowing the relaxation effects to continue. Many also choose to avoid alcohol directly after a session to make the most of the treatment. I will also email you my aftercare advice sheet.

Alongside reflexology, I may recommend gentle wellbeing practices such as herbal teas or lifestyle approaches if this interests you. For those who would like to explore further, separate herbal medicine consultations are available, which focus more on natural remedies and lifestyle support.

Many clients find that a series of treatments (for example, four sessions over 4–6 weeks) helps them get the most from reflexology. However, one-off treatments can also provide a calming and restorative experience.

Members of the AoR have some of the highest levels of reflexology qualifications in the UK. The letters MAR after their name denotes a reflexologist's membership status – a sign of assurance that they have met the strictest standards of reflexology practice, they are insured to practise and that they are committed to continually developing their skills and knowledge.
